CLOTHING

It is SO easy to overpack on clothes when prepping for a bachelorette trip (ask us how we know). To avoid throwing everything in your closet into your suitcase last-minute, here's how to pack only the essentials:

💼  Packing Tip

  1. Figure out your exact itinerary and take note of day trips, activities, and themed nights.

  2. Write down each event and the type of outfit you'll need for it. Bonus points if you make a mood board!

  3. Don't forget to check the weather before you pack, so you can include weather-appropriate attire like a light jacket or sun hat.

Here are the basic essentials you'd need on just about every type of bachelorette weekend:

  • Evening Outfits: Reminder to pack for any themed nights out!

  • Swimwear: Bathing suits, cover-ups, and accessories for beach or pool days.

  • Sleepwear

  • Undergarments: Double check your outfits for if you need any special shapewear, strapless bra, or tape for any of your outfits.

  • Workout Clothes: For those who like to stay active, include sports bras, leggings, socks, and sneakers.

  • Weather-Specific Items: Depending on the location, you may need a jacket, hat, boots, etc.

  • Travel Outfit(s): Don't forget to pack a comfortable outfit and shoes to travel in to and from your trip!

  • Extra outfit(s): We know we just said not to overpack, but its okay to bring 1-2 extra items in case you need to make a last-minute wardrobe change.

  • Shoes: Definitely bring comfortable shoes for walking and a dressier shoe for nights out at a minimum. You may also need sandals, sneakers, hiking boots, or other types of shoe(s) depending on your activities.

    • If there is a specific color scheme or theme for any night, make sure to note that on your packing list!

  • Shop your closet first to find items you already own and love.

  • Pack versatile clothing that can be mixed and matched in different combinations to save space.

  • Coordinate with the group so not everyone needs to bring every item - see what can be shared.

  • Split up décor, gifts, and fun items among the bridesmaids to distribute the packing load evenly.

  • Use packing cubes or organizers to keep your suitcase tidy and easy to navigate.

  • Bring a reusable tote or extra bag for souvenirs and shopping finds.

  • Don’t forget a portable steamer to keep outfits wrinkle-free.

  • Pack a few plastic bags for wet swimsuits or dirty laundry.
